We would like to introduce our "Magic Tape" anti-static type. This product incorporates conductive fiber "Klarcabo" into the base fabric of the standard "Magic Tape," giving it anti-static properties. Unlike regular hook-and-loop fasteners, "Magic Tape" does not have a back coating agent applied to the reverse side, which exposes "Klarcabo" and significantly reduces the surface leakage resistance value. We would like to introduce the positioning type of "Velcro" that we handle. This product is designed to be used with a combination of hooks with a special shape and loops arranged in high density. Generally, hook-and-loop fasteners engage simply by the hooks and loops touching each other, but this product does not engage just by lightly touching the loop surface with the hook. Instead, it allows for sliding adjustments of position, and once the position is set, pushing the hook into the loop to embed it activates the engagement function. Once engaged, the hook has a shape that makes it difficult to pull out, providing high engagement strength. As a result, it allows for easy fixation of objects compared to using screws, bolts, or nuts, and is increasingly adopted in applications where simplification of production processes is desired. We would like to introduce the "Velcro" moldable sewable type that we handle. This product is made of polyester material and can be sewn onto the substrate. The world's only 100% polyester manufacturing method.

Kurare Fastening has established a manufacturing method using 100% polyester without a back coating agent and has obtained a patent for it. This has opened a breakthrough in global standards. With this method, the polyurethane back coating traditionally required for hook-and-loop fasteners has been eliminated, successfully reducing CO2 emissions by lowering energy consumption during the process. (A significant amount of energy was needed for the heating process to promote the drying of the back coating agent and cross-linking reactions.) Now, all products of "Magic Tape" are produced using this method. As a result, for the first time in the hook-and-loop fastener industry, we have obtained the "Eco Leaf Environmental Label," actively promoting efforts to reduce environmental impact. Furthermore, in 2022, we launched a new recycled type. This uses polyester yarn derived from recycled PET resin made from used PET bottles as part of the raw materials, and since it is 100% polyester without a back coating, material recycling is possible. The hook-and-loop fastener "Magic Tape" balances performance and environmental considerations. Kurare Fastening will continue to promote "more human-friendly and more Earth-friendly manufacturing."

Kurare Fastening was the first in Japan to start a hook-and-loop fastener business and has continued to develop and produce "Velcro" based on domestic production facilities to this day.
